Grapheme Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how hiking.dev ("we", "our") handles information in the Grapheme app. Grapheme is a Unicode character catalog with no account system. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other directly identifying information.

2. Data We Collect

• App activity, performance, and device info: anonymous usage events (such as screens viewed and searches performed) and crash reports, used to fix bugs and improve the app.
• Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob to serve and measure the single native ad shown in the character detail page. In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA and UK), ads load only according to the choices you make in the consent form shown at launch, and you can change your choices at any time via the "Privacy options" entry in the app.

We do not sell personal data.

3. Data Stored Only on Your Device

Your pinned blocks and favorite characters are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to any server, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. Third-Party SDKs

The following services run inside the app:

• Google Firebase: Analytics and Crashlytics (crash reporting). Governed by Firebase's privacy & security page and Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob: Serves one native ad in the character detail page. AdMob may use the advertising ID for ad delivery and measurement. See AdMob's data disclosure and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Analytics data is retained according to Firebase's default retention (up to 14 months). Because the app does not maintain an account, you can effectively delete all data linked to your install by uninstalling Grapheme.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected in the app's store listings.
